6. What is a BOOC?

Boocs are our online blogs.

7. Why do I have an online CV?

Our aim with the online CV is so that law firms to headhunt you without the onerous prospect for them of advertising and then choosing who they like. They can simply input certain requirements, such as a 1st in law, and then further divide those candidates. The second aim is to allow you to be headhunted whilst you are in employment, which means you can ensure that you are being paid at the highest level in the best law firm you could be.

This means that you should continually update your CV so that employers know exactly what kind of candidate you are.

8. Can anybody see my online CV?

There is a default "status" of "invisible". This means nobody can see it. We do not alter your status - it is completely up to you. There are verying levels of status, which allows law firms to see your CV, and some which indicates to the law firms if you are currently available or looking for work.

9. Who do we allow to see your CV?

We only allow law firms established in the UK (and registered with the SRA) to see your CV. We do not allow any other potential recruiter. This is to ensure that your details are not disclosed to unscrupulous persons. If you have any queries concerning this then please email staff@weblegaleducation.com

10. How do I search for jobs?

From your personal account, go to the employment page, and then click on "instant jobs".

11. How does the Multiple Choice Competition work?

Every month, 10 MCQs will become available. The first person to get all of them right will win free entry to a Web Legal UK event. It's that simple! Web Legal has the final decision on the correct answer to each multiple choice question - no discussion will be entered into.

12. How do the other competitions work?

All the competitions have different rules and technicalities but they will be explained at the top of the competition.
