Civitas Chambers, Cardiff Bristol / Welsh round - Friday 11th November 2011 @ Civitas Chambers, Cardiff

The Bristol / Welsh round - Mr Alex Freye (Swansea) here carefully outlining the policy strengths of Foakes vs Beer whilst his team mate Ms Purba Naidu looks on! Mr James Hughes (Bristol) and Mr Will Douglas-Jones (off picture) eagerly waiting for a weakness in the argument!

Mr Michael Imperato (New Law Solicitors) kindly judged the round and found for the respondent in the case

Whilst the performance of Alex and Purba was strong, James and Will succeeded in winning the round and face the winning team from Oxford in the 2nd round!
Kenworthys Chambers, Manchester Manchester Round - Thursday 20th October @ Kenworthys Chambers, Manchester

Two excellent teams from Manchester University, on the left we have Ms Natasha Rai and Ms Monica Savic-Jabrow and on the right we have Ms Nelofar Azam and Ms Ariana Demian.

The winners on the night were Monica and Natasha - strong contenders with more confidence that should hopefully take them far in the competition.
Magdalen College, Oxford Oxford round - Thursday 8th December @Magdalen College, Oxford.

Mr Matthew McGee & Ms Lauren Kreamer (Oxford) vs Ms Zhixin Tan & Karen Yong.

An excellent moot by all participants with a fine "cut and thrust" argument of the facts. Each team had clearly spent a great deal of time researching this area and it showed in the high quality of the moot.

Matthew and Lauren grabbed the winning place by only a short margin - but Ms Tan and Ms Yong are certainly strong barristers-in-waiting!
